Initiative #1: Vineyard Workers Camps
VWS provides two seasonal migrant workers camps for Vineyard Workers that come into the Sonoma area each harvest. We are able to house up to 60 workers and provide a variety of services. The Vineyard workers provide a high level and efficient method to the winemaking process, which cannot be compromised by machines or other means without compromising the wine itself. They are highly talented and provide a service that no one else is capable or willing to do.
Description:
• Subsidizing camp rents from $10 a day to $5 a day
• Providing and coordinating services for Vineyard Workers at the camps.
• Serving food (three times a week)
• Providing camp-site English classes
• Conducting work safety classes
• Providing clothing such as long sleeve shirts and gloves
• Issuing blankets and sleeping bags
Breakdown of Costs:
Direct cost of providing housing for each vineyard Worker which includes Housing, meals, Education seminars and Health Check-ups.

Initiative #2: The Resource Center
The vineyard workers that we serve can be broken down into two areas seasonal and year round workers. As with the seasonal vineyard workers the year-round Vineyard workers provide a variety of crucial services to the industry, such as work in production, warehouses and the grounds of the wineries another crucial function is the pruning process.
• Providing technology access
• Outsourcing resources; connecting our clients with other agencies
• Providing information and technical assistance such as filling out of paperwork
and job applications.
• General cost of providing services, such as phone, office supplies, etc.
