Imagery event nets $25,000 for vineyard workers

With the help of Mike and Mary Benziger and the rest of the
Benziger Family, plus attendees representing local vintners
and growers, vineyard workers and VWS supporters, the
fundraiser for Vineyard Workers Services at Imagery Winery
last week raised more than $25,000.

The day laborers who congregate on Vallejo Avenue just east
of Highway 12 may someday have a hiring hall to work out of,
and while it's not in the foreseeable future, there could be
some sort of temporary shelter for the men soon.
